The arraignment for a Mauston man has been postponed. 29-year-old Cody Treul was in court Monday, December 9, before Judge John Roemer. Treul’s defense attorneys, Mark Gumz and Stan Woodard, requested a brief adjournment because the attorney that was to represent Treul was not available and they didn’t had a chance to meet with Treul. District Attorney Michael Solovey, who appeared for the state, didn’t have any objections to the adjournment and requested that the bond conditions remain the same for Treul, which Judge Roemer accepted. Treul s charged in the shooting death of 29-year old Gail Howland of Mauston and attempted homicide of 23-year old Ebony Lasher of Mauston last May. The arraignment has been rescheduled for January 31st at one p.m.
