The Hillsboro School Board had its monthly meeting on Monday night, December 9. The board approved a resolution for the scholarship account, which authorizes the use of principle to cover scholarship cost if the interest did not generate a sufficient amount. It also approved a teacher job description. There had not been a current job description on file so this is a new policy for the district. After a closed session, the board authorized the posting and hiring of a one-on-one aide in special education at the elementary school. The board also approved the 300 Series Policies in the School Board policies, which covers Instruction. The board will continue through the rest of the policies over the next several months. The updates are to align with the Wisconsin Association of School Boards format. the board also approved the date for the Alumni Basketball Tournament (January 25). The next meeting for the Hillsboro School Board will be January 20th, at seven p.m.
