A New Lisbon man has been arrested for OWI-first offense. On Saturday, a Juneau County deputy was dispatched to a residence on Sunny Lane in the Township of Germantown for a suspicious vehicle. According to the residence owner, a vehicle pulled up in their driveway and a man was walking around. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Charles Lofquist. Lofquist insisted that he lived at the residence, even though a records checked showed differently. While talking to Lofquist, the deputy could smell an odor of intoxicants and could see that Lofquist had a hard time standing still. The deputy had Lofquist perform field sobriety tests, which he failed. He also refused a breath test. The deputy arrested Lofquist for operating while intoxicated and transported him to the Juneau County Jail.
