A Necedah man was taken into custody for OWI-1st offense on Sunday. The Juneau County Sheriff’s Office was called out to a truck in the ditch on County Road G in the Necedah Township. The deputy made contact with 60-year old Francis Norton III. He asked Norton if he was injured and Norton said no, he just took the corner too fast and ended in the ditch. While talking to Norton, the deputy could smell an odor of intoxicants and Norton’s speech was noticeably slurred. Norton failed the field sobriety tests and his Preliminary Breath Test showed .179. Norton was arrested and transported to the Juneau County Jail. Norton was also cited for failing to have control of his vehicle and for operating with a PAC>= 0.15.
