An Adams man has been tentatively charged with substantial battery and disorderly conduct. Police said last month 34-year old Dale Blindauer allegedly got into a physical altercation with his father at a residence in the 300-block of West State Street in the City of Adams. Both men appeared intoxicated. Blindauer, who is bi-polar and schizophrenic, allegedly pushed his father in the chest very hard, causing the 56-year old man to fall backward off the porch striking his head on the ground causing him to lose consciousness for over five-minutes. The officer observed lacerations on the father’s forearms and his nose was apparently broken and bleeding. Blindauer was arrested and transported to the Adams County Jail.
