An Adams woman has been arrested for obstructing an officer. Last Friday, May 2, police say that an Adams officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that showed an expired and suspended registration and the plates did not belong on the vehicle. The driver, later identified as Melanie Asplund, gave the officer another name, but couldn’t provide the information to prove that. Asplund then admitted who she was and told people that she didn’t have a driver’s license and was on probation. She was arrested and transported to the Adams County Jail. She was also cited for operating while revoked and displaying unauthorized registration plates.
