An incident of criminal damage to property and burglary has occurred in the Town of Summit. According to the police report, the victim stated that sometime between April 2014-May 8th, 2014, someone forced entry into his residence and garage on Knee Road without his consent and took several items of electronics and tools. Police stated it appeared that someone had kicked the rear door and the garage door to gain entrance, causing damage to both doors and their frames. An initial investigation found that all the cabinets, drawers, closets and beds were searched and the door was left open, allowing animals to roam through the home. Police found a T-shirt and a flashlight that the victim said did not belong to anyone in the family. They also found two empty bottles of beer in the house, which they logged as evidence. The victim said he did not know who would be responsible for the damage and theft. The Juneau County Sheriff’s Office is looking into the incident.
