On Saturday afternoon, there was a one vehicle accident in the Town of Wilton. Monroe County Sheriff Peter Quirin says that the crash resulted in injuries to two teenagers in occurred on Highway 71, just east of Locust Road. A 16-year-old youth was traveling east on Highway 71 when he lost control of his vehicle and went into the ditch, and hit a culvert. This caused the vehicle to vault across a driveway and then the vehicle went into a cornfield where it came to a stop. The driver and his 16-year-old passenger were transported by Wilton Ambulance to Tomah Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Both were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash. The crash remains under investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department.
