The Adams Police Department is referring charges of theft of library materials for sixteen people to the Adams County District Attorney’s Office. According to the report, the sixteen individuals failed to return the overdue items, which include DVDs and CDs, to the Adams County Public Library. Several items have been checked out since 2012. The library and the Adams Police Department had issued notices to each of the offenders, but none had responded. The library is asking for full restitution of replacement fees and overdue fines, which total $6973.76.
