The Mauston McDonald’s had an exciting morning as Green Bay Packer Fullback John Kuhn came to visit the crew and meet fans. The restaurant had the Mauston High School Jazz band there to perform and members from other McDonald’s attended the occasion. How this came about was the entire South Central Wisconsin area held a contest to see which McDonald’s restaurant could sell the most Cheddar Melt sandwiches. Within the timeframe of the contest, the Mauston McDonald’s sold over 1200 Cheddar Melt sandwiches. Owner and operator Rick Lommen said he was super excited to have this opportunity for his employees. “It’s a great reward for all of our employees that work tremendously hard to sell the most and to have John come here. It’s a treat for everyone,” said Lommen. John Kuhn was honored to be part of the reward. He said it was great to meet with the fans and the crew. “To hit this part of the state, the western part of the state, it great. You get to to see some great Packer fans,” said Kuhn. “Not a lot of guys come out here to see these fans. They’re excited, they’re rambunctious, it really is a lot of fun.” Kuhn was at the McDonald’s from about 10 this morning till about noon greeting fans and helping the crew with orders.
