SHERIFF JOHN SPEARS REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ONGOING ACTIVITIES FOR THE YEAR AND NARRATIVE EXCERPTS FROM THE WEEK ENDING November 17, 2014.
11/10 Sometime in the last month, a welder was stolen from private property on Lincoln Court, Town of Bergen.
11/11 Danielle Rechlicz, Ontario, slid through the stop sign at the intersection of County Road V and County Road P, Town of Forest. She struck the vehicle driven by Norman Parker, La Farge, who was eastbound on County Road P. Parker reported minor injuries.
11/11 Tara McKittrick, DeSoto, lost control of her vehicle on a curve of State Highway 82, Town of Wheatland. She went off road and into the ditch. No injuries were reported.
11/13 Haley Ashbrook, Westby, lost control of her vehicle on a curve of Tri-State Road, Town of Webster. She went into the ditch and struck a road sign but reported no injuries.
11/13 Thomas Mickelsen, Viroqua, lost control of his vehicle on a curve of County Road B, Town of Coon. He went into the ditch and overturned but no injuries were reported.
11/13 Chloe Stoker, La Crosse lost control of her vehicle on a curve of County Road P, Town of Christiana. She went off road, struck some trees and overturned. No injuries were reported.
11/13 Elisabeth Frank, Viroqua, lost control of her vehicle on US Highway 14, Town of Viroqua. She went off road and over an embankment, and reported possible injuries.
11/14 Dillon Devault, La Crosse, lost control of his vehicle on a straight stretch of Saugstad Road, Town of Christiana. He crossed the oncoming lane and struck a utility pole, but reported no injuries.
11/14 Haley Ashbrook, Westby, lost control of her vehicle on Tri-State Road, Town of Webster. She went off road, hit a road culvert and a Town of Webster sign. No injuries were reported at the time of the crash.
11/14 Kayla Odegard, Westby, was braking while going down Carrie Smith Hill, State Highway 56, Town of Liberty. Paul Buckta, La Farge, was following closely behind Odegard and rear-ended her vehicle. Odegard reported minor injuries.
11/15 A light snow on Saturday led to 11 crashes resulting in minor or no injuries. The following reports were available by press time:
. Amy Morse, Viola, struck a mailbox and overturned on STH 56, Town of Viroqua;
. Joseph Hoberg, Minneapolis, struck the guardrail on US Hwy 14, Town of Coon;
. Donald Anderson, Ferryville, drove into the ditch on County Road UU, Town of Wheatland;
. Eric Kirking, Viroqua, crossed the centerline, went into the ditch and overturned on Railroad Avenue, Town of Viroqua.
. Other crashes calls include a car on its top on State Highway 56 (Viroqua), a vehicle rolled over on South Creek Road (Genoa), an accident with injuries on County Road UU (Wheatland), a vehicle in the creek on Norwegian Hollow Road (Jefferson), a vehicle in the creek on State Highway 56 (Viroqua), and a car into the woods on Dutch Hollow Road, Town of Wheatland.
11/16 Tricha Miller, Cashton, lost control of her vehicle on a curve of County Road P, Town of Christiana. She crossed the oncoming traffic lane and went into the ditch, striking large rocks. Miller did not report any injuries.
