The Elroy, New Lisbon, and Mauston Police Departments and Juneau County Sheriff’s Office have released the results of the “Operating While Intoxication: Saturation Task Force” Campaign they participated in. The above agencies conducted Highly Visible Enforcement saturation patrols on October 31, 2014 and November 1, 2014 from 7 PM to 3 AM.
Enforcement results:
- 8 speeding violations
- 6 operating after revocation/suspension violations or no valid license
- 2 traffic sign or traffic light violations
- 0 drunken driving arrests
- 1 drug violation
- 26 other violations
- 51 warning issued
- 4 arrests
In a statement from the departments, they said,”Our goal during Highly Visible Enforcement saturation patrols and for the rest of year is not to write more tickets but to convince drivers not to drive while impaired”.
