Thirteen area nonprofit organizations are receiving community grants totaling $28,165 from the Alliant Energy Foundation in its third and final 2014 giving cycle. The grants bring the year-to-date total given in the region to $52,215.
Among those earning grants from the Alliant Energy Foundation are:
- Habitat for Humanity Sauk-Columbia Area, $4,500 for ReStore forklift
- Ferry Bluff Eagle Council, $3,000 for Bald Eagle Watching Days
- Boys and Girls Club of the Wisconsin Rapids Area, $1,500 for Project Learn
Also receiving grants are: Alliance Bring Caring Connections, Circus World Museum Foundation Inc., Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, Deer Grove EMS, Juneau County Health Department, Middleton Outreach Ministry, Mount Horeb Area Arts Association, National Society of Colonial Dames America-State of WI, North Freedom Public Library and Reach Out Lodi Inc.
“We support the communities that Alliant Energy is proud to serve,” said Julie Bauer, executive director of the Alliant Energy Foundation. “These nonprofit organizations help make life better, and we hope these grants will have a direct impact on the communities and the people the programs touch.”
