A Mauston man received multiple citations after fleeing an accident scene. The deputy said early Wednesday morning 24-year old Shawn Cunningham was traveling south on Highway 12/16 near County Road ‘N’ in the Town of Lemonweir. He failed to negotiate a curve and the 1996 Dodge Status he was driving went onto the shoulder and struck a stop sign. Cunningham was cited for ‘operating motor vehicle without insurance’, ‘failure to notify police of accident’, ‘hit and run of property adjacent to highway’ and ‘failure to keep vehicle under control’. His fines totaled $876.10.
