A Mauston man was sentenced to one-year in prison to run consecutively with the sentence he is already serving from Rock County. The family of 32-year old Forrest Pickett III was in the Juneau County courtroom Thursday afternoon along with defense attorney Maura Melka. Judge John Roemer accepted the plea agreement reached with the prosecution. Pickett plead no contest to a felony child abuse charge and two misdemeanor charges of criminal damage to property and lewd and lascivious behavior. Judge Roemer sentenced Pickett to one year in prison plus 2-years of extended supervision for the child abuse charge which is to run consecutively with the Rock County sentence he is already serving. Plus nine months in jail for the misdemeanor charges that will run concurrently.
