A possible homicide occurred overnight at a residence in the Village of Necedah. According to a release from Juneau County Sheriff Brett Oleson, the victim was a 29-year-old man and the shooting was reported at 12:50 this morning. The victim was declared dead at the Hess Memorial Hospital. The sheriff reported a 21-year-old female acquaintance of the victim who was at the residence was taken into custody. It is anticipated that charges will be formally filed on Friday. Names of the people involved were not immediately released by the sheriff’s department pending notification of family members. The incident remains under investigation.
