SHERIFF JOHN SPEARS REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ONGOING ACTIVITIES FOR THE YEAR AND NARRATIVE EXCERPTS FROM THE WEEK ENDING April 27, 2015.
4/20 Stanley Azevedo of Las Vegas, NV, was called in as a traffic complaint. Azevedo claimed another vehicle struck him. After tracing the path that Azevedo stated, debris was found where a collision had occurred on Main Street in the Village of De Soto, but no other vehicle was located.
4/22 Tanya Dvorak of La Farge was heading north on US Hwy 131 in the Town of Whitestown. Upon reaching Cut Off Road, following Hwy 131, Dvorak lost control and hit a guardrail with the right passenger side fender. Seatbelts were used by both occupants and no injuries were reported.
4/22 A patron at Gunner’s Bar in the Village of De Soto reported his wallet was stolen and his credit cards were used in Arizona.
4/26 Vincent Kitching of Winona, MN and Wade Johnson of Westby, were both stopped at a stop sign on Lovaas Ridge Road, Town of Christiana. Kitching coasted backwards and ran into Johnson. Kitching was driving a truck and the top of his bed went over the hood of Johnson’s vehicle causing deep scratches and dents. Kitching did not realize he struck Johnson’s vehicle and continued onto US Hwy 14. Kitching was later stopped in La Crosse County along with Johnson who was following him. No apparent injuries were reported.
