OWI Saturation Patrol Results Released

Local law enforcement agencies have released the results of their highly visible enforcement saturation patrol that took place on June 26. The Juneau County Sheriff’s Office, the Mauston Police Department and the New Lisbon Police Department each had officers issued citations or make arrests at traffic stops during the patrols. The enforcement resulted in no drunken driving arrests, one drug violation, five traffic sign or light violations, and 16 other violations. There were also 38 warnings issued. In a release, the agencies said their goal during Highly Visible Enforcement saturation patrols and for the rest of year are not to write more tickets but to convince drivers not to drive while impaired.
