The Adams County Sheriff’s Office will join other law enforcement agencies in the state of Wisconsin participating in the annual “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” national campaign from August 21 to September 7. There were more than 24,000 convictions for drunken driving last year in Wisconsin. If you are feeling buzzed, law enforcement says you are likely over the legal limit and should not drive. The Adams County Sheriff’s Office has several tips to be safe rather than risk arrest or a crash. Chose a designated driver before drinking, call a taxi or sober friend to drive home, get the “Drive Sober” app from the Zero in Wisconsin website, or utilize the Adams County Safe Ride program.  Police also say to report impaired drivers to law enforcement by calling 911.
