Three people were injured in a vehicle rollover accident on Sunday morning. Monroe County Sheriff Scott Perkins said the accident occurred on Hilltop Road in the Township of Angelo. 19-year-old Devon Crocker of rural Sparta was traveling southbound on Hilltop Road when the vehicle left the road way and travelled in the west ditch. The vehicle overturned, striking some trees. Crocker was ejected from the truck and received possible life threatening injuries. Crocker’s passengers in the truck, 19-year-old Tyler Gebhardt of Sparta received non-life threatening injuries and a 17-year-old youth received minor injuries. All three were transported to Sparta Mayo Hospital, and both Crocker and Gebhardt were later transferred to Gundersen Hospital in LaCrosse. The crash remains under investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
