A Reedsburg man was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 6th offense. Sauk County Sheriff Chip Meister said on Sunday August 30, 50-year-old Mark D. Benseman was operating a motor vehicle in the Town of Honey Creek when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a road sign. He then drove away from the scene, and a short time later, left the road again and became stuck in a ditch. Meister said during the investigation Benseman resisted deputies’ attempts to arrest him. Besides OWI 6th Offense, Benseman was also tentatively being charged with resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to have control of a vehicle, and open intoxicants in a vehicle. Benseman was transported to the Sauk County Jail.
