A Camp Douglas man was arrested last Friday for possession of THC and drug paraphernalia. The deputy said he responded to a motel in the City of New Lisbon for a report of an odor of marijuana coming from one of the rooms. Investigation revealed 19-year old Darin Lafortune allegedly had 3-bags of marijuana totaling 18-grams in his suitcase. A package of rolling papers was found in his pocket. Laforturne told the deputy he bought the marijuana in Colorado where it is legal and he and his girlfriend were planning to move there in the morning. Another man in the motel room, 19-year old Keith Steele of New Lisbon, was placed on a probation hold. Both Lafortune and Steele were transported to the Juneau County Jail.
