(Wisconsin Rapids, WI) — Charges are expected next week against a suspected drunk driver in a crash that killed a man on an Amish buggy in central Wisconsin. A Wood County judge set bond at $5,000 Monday for 31-year-old Seth Nelson of Necedah. Officials say 31-year-old Christopher Kempf and his ten-year-old son were moving corn stalks from a field near their home, when their horse-drawn wagon was rear-ended by Nelson’s pick-up truck. It happened Friday night on County Trunk HH near Vesper. The youngster was hospitalized in critical condition at last word. A preliminary breath test showed that Nelson had a blood alcohol level of .11, just above the minimum of drunk driving of 0.08. Authorities expect a charge of OWI homicide.
