A rural Necedah woman received multiple citation as a result of a one-vehicle accident last month. The deputy said 53-year old Cynthia Gorder was traveling west on Highway 21 near 17th Avenue in the Town of Strongs Prairie in Adams County. As Gorder tried to avoid a deer, the 2000 Buick LeSabre struck a street sign and snow fence. She failed to report the accident and instead drove the car about a half mile through a field and hid the vehicle on her brother’s property. Gorder told the deputy she did not know the crash needed to be reported. She was cited for failing to report accident, hit property adjacent to highway, and imprudent speed.
