On April 15th, 2013 a State Trooper was dispatched to mile marker 85 in southern Juneau County for a man lying on Interstate 90/94 screaming. When the Trooper arrived, 30-year old Michael McGaw of West Bend, was standing near the wood line in the grass along the roadway. He had a vacant expression and appeared under the influence of a drug. Investigation revealed McGaw had been a passenger in the back seat of the car when he freaked out. He began yelling and screaming and punching and kicking the driver and front seat passenger. The driver pulled over to the side of the Interstate. McGaw crawled over the front seat and exited out the driver’s door. Two packages of synthetic marijuana had fallen out of his pockets and were found by the Trooper. McGaw was arrested and transported to the Juneau County Jail. He acted dazed and confused. He asked the Trooper if he was dead and if he was in hell. McGaw has been charged with two counts of misdemeanor battery.
