Three Wisconsin members of Congress are writing letters to Wisconsin Veteran Affair facilities. Representatives Ron Kind, Gwen Moore, and Mark Pocan wrote letters to facilities in Tomah, Madison, and Milwaukee calling for further action to address the negligent treatment and substandard care occurring within the VA system. While the letter itself praises the Wisconsin facilities for their quality care for veterans, it asks them for information on how Congress can assist with the needs of the growing veteran population. Several congressmen called for a Blue Ribbon Commission to investigate care delivery at VA facilities after reports of systemic problems with wait times and with the scheduling process, and with the consequences resulting from those problems at multiple facilities around the country.
