A New Lisbon man was arrested after a traffic stop on Sunday, December 14th. According to Mauston Police, an officer conducted a traffic stop on West State Street at Dockstader for a burnt out headlight. The Juneau County K-9 unite came to the scene to assist. K9 Timo conducted a free air sniff of the vehicle and indicted on the passenger side for a controlled substance. The front passenger in the vehicle, 24-year-old Chase A. Huffman, was taken into custody for “Possession of THC”. A search ensued and evidence seized during the traffic stop from the vehicle included an item with the casing containing an odor of marijuana, and two baggies with green leafy substance. Police say three other occupants in the vehicle were not cited or taken into custody.
