There was a single vehicle rollover accident in Vernon County. Sheriff John Spears says the accident occurred Sunday afternoon in the Town of Webster. 53-year-old Tammy Beranek, of rural Westby, was operating a passenger car southbound on County Highway S. Beranek’s vehicle traveled cross the centerline onto the gravel shoulder and down over an embankment. The vehicle then overturned and came to rest. Spears says Beranek was using a seatbelt at the time of the crash. She was transported to Vernon Memorial Healthcare in Viroqua. The accident remains under investigation by the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office.
