A local business has received 1st place at the Wisconsin Apple Growers Association’s annual conference that was held in Wisconsin Dells last week.  Entries were received for Apple Cider made from individual orchards around the state for one of two categories, which were pasteurized and raw/ultraviolet. Northwoods Orchard, located on Highway 82, entered in the raw/ultraviolet division and was awarded first place. Operators Seth and Nadine Tully were pleasantly surprised with the award.  Seth said, “I was honored to be able to enter the event, let alone take home first place.” Nadine said that they had learned many things from the previous owners and they were glad to continue the business.

Northwoods Orchard, 2 miles west of Mauston on Hwy 82, runs 15 acres of apple trees, three greenhouses, U-pick or pre-picked strawberries, and bulk foods year round. Their hours are 8:30am-5:30pm Thur-Sat until spring and then open Mon-Sat.
