Tomah VA Hosts Battery, Electronics Recycling: April 24, 25

The Tomah VA Medical Center will host a home electronics recycling collection on April 24, 25, outside of Building 25 on the Tomah VA campus. The third annual Tomah VA Earth Day Electronics Recycling Day will be a community-wide recycling event for rechargeable batteries and electronics. The collection will take place outside Building 25 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on both days. There is no cost to the participants or to the Tomah VAMC. Some items eligible for recycling include rechargeable batteries including nickel cadmium, lithium ion and lead acid batteries.  Please no alkaline batteries.  Electronics that can be recycled include televisions, computer monitors, cell phones, VCR’s, and microwaves.
