Wisconsin preliminary non-seasonally adjusted unemployment rates have been released for April and Juneau County’s unemployment rate decreased from February. According to the Department of Workforce Development, Juneau County’s unemployment rate was 5 percent in April, which was less than the 6.6 percent that it was in March. It is the second month of decrease for the county. It is higher than the state’s unemployment rate of 4.4 percent, but lower than the national rate of 5.1 percent. The unemployment rate includes Wisconsin residents who actively seeking work and those who are available for work.
