Small towns have unique issues and needs that are often very different from those of larger communities. The 2015 Wisconsin Regional Small Town Downtown Forums are intended to bring together those serving and working in and with communities of populations fewer than 1500 to learn from each other through case studies, roundtables and discussion groups. The first of four such forums will be held in Elroy at the American Legion Hall on August 25 from 12:30pm to 4:30pm. The registration fee is $10 per person and those who wish to attend can register online at http://wisconsindowntown.org/events/small-town-forum-elroy. Additional forums will be at Green Lake, Mercer, and Hammond. The forums are presented by the Wisconsin Downtown Action Council, Wisconsin Rural Partners, Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, the University of Wisconsin – Extension, and USDA Rural Development.
