A Lyndon Station man was cited as a result of a single vehicle accident in the Village of Lyndon Station Sunday. Law enforcement was called to the accident that occurred on Juneau Street after a third party called and said a vehicle jumped the curb and struck a tree. The officer observed the tire tracks that led to the tree, along with ruts in the yard. He also observed that a utility pole had been struck. The officer made contact with the registered owner, 21-year-old Cody Madden. At first, Madden told the officer someone had stolen his vehicle, and then said his truck drove itself into the tree. He was cited for failing to keep control of the vehicle and failing to notify police of an accident.
