The Necedah Village Board met on Monday night and approved a contract with Bowmar Appraisal Inc. in the amount of $11,300. Village Administrator Roger Herried said this contract looks at the assessed values of all commercial and residential properties in the Village. He also said there will be Bowmar Appraisal Inc. employees in the Village to do field work. The board also approved its annual contract with the Necedah Fire and Rescue in the amount of $15,252. Herried said it was a two percent increase from last year’s contract.
The village is planning to pursue a plan to offer credit/debit cards as a form of payment for water/sewer bills and taxes. Herried said they have had residents asking for this service. The village board wanted them to continue with this and Herried said he plans to work with their financial staff/consultants to get the program in place.
The Necedah Village Board meets the second Monday of the month at the Village Hall.
