Lori Webster and Andrea of PT Works participate in the Million Penny Challenge

Nearly everyone has been touched by cancer, either personally or knows someone who has the dreaded disease or is a survivor.  This year NOW 92one FM has joined the fight against cancer by sponsoring the Million Penny Challenge to benefit the 2013 Juneau County Relay for Life.  During the week of July 22nd leading to the weekend gathering at the Mauston High School Track Friday night,  NOW 92one FM personalities will be visiting more than fifty businesses remotely and we’re asking the community to come out, join us, and more importantly, bring your pennies.  Last year 32-teams participated in the Relay for Life Juneau County and raised almost $110,000, this year NOW 92one FM wants to raise one-million pennies or $10,000 and we’re asking for your help.  Save, gather your pennies, and bring them to one of our more than 50-stops and donate to the American Cancer Society to battle this terrible disease.  NOW 92one FM General Manager Jim Murphy says, “We are proud to have partnered with the Juneau County Relay for Life to try and meet this Million Penny Challenge.  With the help of all of our listeners, and the entire community, I am confident we can do it.  I’d also like to thank Laridaen’s Glass for fabricating a huge container to hold the million pennies.  And also Rudig Jensen Ford Chrysler Dodge Jeep for providing a Ford F350 capable of transporting the container full of 1,000,000 pennies.”
